Roti-Phulkas

Whole Wheat Flour - 250 gms

Water - 120ml

Salt - 1 tsp

Oil - 1 tsp (optional)


In a large mixing bowl add the Whole wheat flour and salt.

Add the water slowly and mix to make a smooth dough.

Add the oil at this point if required.

Divide the dough into 10 equal parts and roll each of them into a ball.

Using a rolling pin flatten the balls into tortilla shapes of 1 mm thickness.

Heat a Frying pan (tawa) on medium heat.

Fry the roti on the pan on one side, cook till bubbles appear on top, flip to the other side to cook, Once the bubbles appear roast the phulka on an open flame on both sides till it puffs.
