Sometimes the most flavourful dishes can be made with just a handful of ingredients.This quick and easy recipe can be served with rice or neer dosa.
Ingredients:
Red Chilies de-seeded - 20
Tamarind - 1/2 inch piece
Cashew nuts - 1/4 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Cilantro leaves for garnish
Lime wedge - 1
King Prawns shelled and cleaned - 400 gms
Soak the chillies and cashew nuts in hot water until soft, discard the water, grind them to a smooth paste along with the tamarind.
Pat dry the prawns to remove any excess water after cleaning.
Heat ghee in a flat pan add the curry leaves and the ground paste and fry till the oil separates.
Add the prawns and fry until done on high flame.
Switch off the flame an squeeze lime over the dish, garnish with cilantro.
